I do not know what you mean by "where do I go?"
Where are you NOW?

Why would he be asked to leave? Aggressive or violent behaviors? If so, get him seen by a geriatric psychiatrist now and properly medicated because this issue will follow him from facilty to facilty. No AL will be willing to take him with such behaviors.

Good luck to you.

Are you referring to memory care or the ALF? An ALF is certified only for a certain level of care. The patient needs to be able to stand and pivot into a wheelchair with assistance. They should be able to feed themselves, possibly with assistance. And they should be able to be helped up, out of bed with up to two people, not more. When my father got to that point they were saying he would have to leave the ALF, unless we put him under hospice care. We moved him to a small five person ALF and have him under hospice care, which helps them to get around some of the restrictions.
If This has to do with anger or aggression, have the doctor prescribe divalproex and/or some Trazadone. This helped us when dad went through that a year ago. They will need to find the right amount for him or he could appear too drugged up.
