By proceeding, I agree that I understand the following disclosures:
I. How We Work in Washington. Based on your preferences, we provide you with information about one or more of our contracted senior living providers ("Participating Communities") and provide your Senior Living Care Information to Participating Communities. The Participating Communities may contact you directly regarding their services. APFM does not endorse or recommend any provider. It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. We do not permit our Advisors to have an ownership interest in Participating Communities.
II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.

If you want mom to roll to her right side take her LEFT arm and bring it across her chest and have her hold onto the bed rail. (If you do not have a bed rail place a "pool noodle" under the sheet and she can hold the noodle)
Doing this will automatically get her to begin rolling onto her right side.
Once he begins to roll gather the sheet at/on her left and use it to help her roll.
Using the length of sheet applies even pressure along her entire body. (Have your hands placed at about her hip and shoulder but still grasping the sheet)
I hope that all made sense!
And I have to ask...
Is mom on Hospice? If so the CNA will be more than happy to teach you the easiest and most comfortable way to change mom.
Not to mention the CNA will come 2 or 3 times a week, the Nurse 1 time a week and you will get all the supplies and equipment that you need delivered to the house. (Hospice is covered by Medicaid, Medicare and most insurance)
I believe you are correct. This is almost certainly now with this catastrophic injury end of life care.
I am sure, giving care all this time you know how to turn your Mom, but you can also look online on youtube for tips on turning. Pillow between legs is important to maintain natural alignment of the hip. Full turn not needed and banking pillows is what is most needed. Hospice would provide hospital bed and a good one to prevent pressure sores.
I doubt Mom will be taking a whole lot of fluid nourishment, but if she is, do consider a catheter now, as honestly, at this time, infection from catheter isn't the worst thing. Hospice could assist in this and in testing urine.
I am so very sorry.
